How do I use Weigh & Pay PRO?


Please watch the following training video.  If you are a new install AFTER 10/5/2019, you will be using the ALL NEW WeighNPay PRO.  If you are an existing user, you can switch to the ALL NEW WeighNPay PRO by tapping on the "3 dot" menu and choosing the "Use New System" option.


You will need to restart the WnP app one time AFTER the setup of new containers on the all new WeighNPay PRO.


Before You Begin

Weigh & Pay PRO requires you to use a Clover compatible scale. 

This is the CAS SW-RS (20LB) (US) scale — CLOVER CUSTOM BUNDLE. Please note that although this model is available from many retail sources, Clover's custom bundle is specially configured to work with the Clover station. Scales purchased outside of your Clover sales channel will not work with your Clover Station. Please contact your Clover salesperson to purchase.

Make sure your scale is set up and connected to the Clover base station.

Set the scale to enable serial mode

With the scale turned off press and hold the “ZERO” key and turn the scale on. When “U SEt” appears release the “ZERO” key. Press the “ZERO” key and the display will show “tyP X”, where X is the current type setting. Use the “TARE” key to select 4. Then press “ZERO”, “ZERO” then “ZERO” to exit the setup.

Set prices for weight based items per oz

Set up your items using the Clover dashboard before launching Weigh and Pay PRO. Ensure the Price field of the item is set to Per Unit with "oz", "kg", "g", or "lb" in the Per Unit field and the price per ounce (or other unit)  (e.g. $0.43) in the price field.

Refrain from adding modifiers on weight based items

Modifiers will be ignored on weight based items in Weigh & Pay.

Modifiers: only a single modifier can be added to an item

Consider setting up modifiers as products that can be added on to an order.

Create Tare Weights (optional)

Creating a tare weight allows you to automatically subtract the weight of containers from your orders.

1. Open WeighNPay PRO . Search and find your weight based item for which you are creating a container. 3. Tap the item you want to add a container for 4. Place the empty container on the scale 5. Name your container and Tap “Add Container” 6. Tap done when you are finished adding containers

Using Weigh & Pay

The Main Screen

WeighNPay PRO integrates with your REGISTER app. If you have chosen the "Use Button" option or if you are a merchant using WeighNPay after mid May, you will see our familiar blue weight scale icon on the register top left hand corner.  If you are an older WnP merchant or have disabled to the "Use Button" feature, a merchant only needs to place a weight based product on the scale. The main weight window will automatically appear and will automatically disapper when you tap CANCEL or when the weight based item is removed from the scale.

Scale

The scale read-out updates automatically when items are placed onto or removed from the connected scale.

Simply search and tap the weight based item you are purchasing.

Update the quantity of containers. The weight of each container will automatically be used to calculate the net weight and the correct total.

When you tap 'Add to Basket', the quantity number of items will be added to your register along with a description of the container that was used.
